They're both so busy wanting to be interesting to the other that neither has time to be considering another.
If you do not know what I am talking about, think what makes you feel better. A girl who is interested in you? Or a girl who is letting you know how cool she is, how hot she is, and so on, and all sorts of other interesting factors.
Interesting leads to many rejections and "platonic" friendships incidentally. Girls will be friends with a guy who is really interesting. Why? Girls like to be amused and entertained. Interesting guys are sort of like children to them. An origin of non-sexual entertainment and pleasure.
